Oh my gosh. Media didn't and never did cause eating disorders. Its been around for hundreds and hundreds of years.

They need to show Brittany's "I wanna be thin" speech to the fashion industry. This is so much the result of media pressure. Brittany is already so thin and she can't see it, or the absolute agony that people with eating disorders inflict unknowingly on the people who love them. It's heartbreaking.

I think its easy to look at Brittany and think, "Aww what an attenion seeking whiney girl." But honestly throughout the entire movie she is kept to herself and does not speak up about anything til now. And when she did ask for support, Polly shut her down. She is still young, and as she has said, she was forced to the institute, and she didn't want to be there, and so she has every right to have a meltdown and act how she does. I've felt like she has too many times, least she spoke up.
