I made this to hopefully help anybody out that is looking at replacing their stock console subwoofer in their Jeep Wrangler. I utilized JeepForum.com, as well as WranglerForum.com. I have to throw out a special shout out to Rogue, ArcherAce, USMCTJ, and several others whose pictures and directions directly assisted in this install.
This replacement is not going to make your Wrangler shake, but in my opinion is a huge step up from the paper woofer (that chances are is already blown in your Jeep). I also have two JBL 10s in the back, so it doesn't compare, but if your not going to run additional woofers, you definitely need to do this upgrade. Also, even if you are going to run supplemental woofers you should do this for when you ride with the top off. I basically have to shut my subs in the back off, 'cause they are worthless in open air...most are; but the console sub still compliments the rest of the audio system while topless (my Jeep, not me...I'm a dude).
You can purchase this sub at Amazon or eBay (around $60), or can even go cheaper with a Pyramid (around $20).
Also worth noting, I did not use the existing amp, so I do not provide any help on wiring, but the two forums I listed above have ample info. I have two aftermarket amps, so I am running the console sub off of 2-channels (bridged) at around 100-watts RMS.
Last note, I promise. Because I was running mine off of a bridged setup, I bought the 4-Ohm speaker, but it is also offered in a 2-Ohm, which you might consider if your going to run it off of the stock amp but I really couldn't tell you one way or another.
I'm not sure anybody will actually view this, but if you do:
A. I'm from Texas, I can't do anything about the accent.
B. This was shot in the middle of the night & day in my garage, at times I'm extremely tired.
C. I'm obviously not a professional, so correct terminology, spelling, etc aren't my strong suits.
D. This was all shot on my iPhone, sorry if the quality is not the best.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
My next projects are installing Smittybilt SRC bumper & tire carrier, as well as some additional interior LEDs.
@bigjoedeuce Didn't have to touch either seats. U only have to pull the back part of the console to get to the sub enclosure and all screws are accessible without removing any seats.

Dude, I ordered the same Kicker you got except a 2ohm. so all i gotta do is trim the box for the speaker to fit, right? I'll be using the stock amp. Thanks for the info man, nothing is worse than hearing a blown speaker.

@midibass I think the only difference will be that you will be hooking up to the existing harness. From what I read you will only be using 2 wires from it; (grey + and black -) are the color schemes that I have consistently seen on the forums. Google "Jeep Forum How to replace factory subwoofer" if you need additional pics, great thread.

Man, mine JUST went out on me! I got a 2004 and I was wondering how difficult it was gonna be to do. Thanks for your help.

@midibass No problem, but remember if your going to use the stock amp, get a 2 Ohm 6.5" and not a 4 Ohm like mine. The Kicker CVT comes in both.

@sanchorodgomez Defintely! That's what most people do, and I'm about to also. If you to the wranglerforum website and search for sub stock replacement, it will explain which wires to use from the stock harness that went into the old sub.
