Alien Tripod

Here is my final project for my visual effects class. the requirements were to have something computer generated composited into live footage that was tracked using a 3d tracking program. My idea was to have a war of the worlds type alien tripod towering over my neighbors house. I did everything in this project, modeling, lighting, animation, rendering. shooting and final compositing.

Modeled in maya, redered with mental ray, motion tracking in boujou, and final compositing in after effects.
