Custom designed from the ground up, the Durus Follow Focus has proven to be one of the finest first class follow focus units available to the market at any price point. Featuring custom precision manufactured gearing, a full bearing system, and 100% computer machined billet aluminum parts, the Durus is truly one-of-a-kind. It features a modular design that works with both 15mm and 19mm rod configurations as well as multiple lens pitches (0.8 and 0.5). Uniquely it features a single rod clamping design that enables use sideways, upside down, and in other configurations. It also enables "reversing" of focus direction to match that of cinema lenses with still camera lenses.

Check out the Durus at www.cinevate.com! You're sure to be impressed!

  • just a stupid question.. Can you connect/link two plates together? the reason I ask is I shoot with two cameras a lot, with one being HD,and the other being High Speed. if they are side by side they capture the same shot, and with a slider I would no longer need to keep them static, I could put both in motion.

  • @weaponeer I think so. We will have to play around a bit to be sure. It also might be possible with our new product that should be launching in the next two weeks. I'll keep you posted.

  • Does MP 2. have any shutterspeed limitations? :)

  • The MP.2 has microprocessor controlled oscillation speed so of all the oscillating adapters probably has the widest aperature/shutter speed range. Aperature and Shutter speed are linked with respect to grain masking, however with a 50mm f14 you can tune the unit to the 1/120s - 1/250 range.

  • Do you have them in stock now?

Will your future wireless controller and motor be able to use these gears?

  • There is a wait of approximately 2 weeks for a Durus Follow Focus and yes the wireless controller and motor will be able to use these gears.

  • man..this is very simple mechanic design...dont sound it very fancy....

i learnt this basic when i was in a freshman physics class

  • I am looking follow focus gear for Eclair camera, it's older 16mm. Would this one would be compatible??

  • We are just clearing back orders for the FF, so we're expecting to be in an "in stock situation (or at least close to that) later this week. Demand for the units at the current price has been hard to keep up with, particularly as each unit is hand built and calibrated in-house by the machinists who make the unit.

Our remote FF unit is 100% compatible with the lens gears we currently sell, so if you're set up now with geared lenses, you're all set for the remote.

  • Make sure to check out the Brevis MP.2 when you get a chance. Lots of good improvements that I'm sure you'll like! Cheers, Cinevate.
