6.0 was the first engine built by Navistart for Ford with emmssions in mind. It had a lot of problems with the egr clogging and head gaskets/head studs. They are more comlicated than need be. You have to take the cab off for some of the engine maintanence. Good engine if it was bullet proof like the 7.3. I like the 6.0 when it has been built right, but the whole cab coming off thing turned me away from it and I stuck with the tried and true 7.3

@linkthemain hell no believe me a duramax with efi is faster then a 6.0 with any tune but they are both fast but efi is the faster one
