Drive away and return exhaust clip after modifications:
Custom intake, H.O. Intake manifold, electric fan, 180 thermostat, 62mm throttle body, headers to 2.5" straight pipe to super 40 Flowmaster and out. Additionally since last video; cut thottle body plate bar for increased airflow at full throttle.

  • Great sound. Im running a 99 xj with the 4.0 and a 50 series flowmaster. did you notice a difference in gas mileage, cuz i was wanting to go for the 40 series. Thanks bud, nice jeep.

  • @superduck714 - Gas mileage hasn't changed much, unless I'm heavy on the skinny pedal and then it gets bad. Research the 40 series cause there are 4 versions, the Original 40, the Delta 40, the Super 40 and the Super 44. I've had all but the super 44; the Original 40 has alot of interior drone, the Super 40 has alittle less and the Delta 40 even less.

  • Additionally since last video; cut thottle body plate bar for increased airflow at full throttle.

    What does that do

  • The throttle plate slides into a bar that goes across the plenum, I cut half the bar off, now air flows in smoothly down that side of the throttle plate. Open your throttle body plate and look down into it, you'll see the bar I'm talking about, two screws go into that and hold the throttle plate in place.

  • FrEAkWaRE which Part Number is your flowmaster silencer ?

  • It rubs alittle bit on the exhaust runner closest to the firewall. I hit the intake manifold with a small grinder and about an 1/8 of metal off and its just fine.

  • i have a 98. is your intake manifold from a 99 or newer? are there any modifications needed to fit a newer intake manifold?

  • If you put the 99 and newer intake manifold on a 98 or earlier, its a massive improvement in performance.
