Short North Shore Dive on Oahu

Short dive today with Jerry. Current was pulling pretty good and the wind picked up fast so the water clarity wasn't that great but we still managed to get some fish. Enjoy.

2 5/8s on a 90 omer exc? wow, isnt the thing a little overpowered? i use 2 9/16 on my 90 aimrite and thats more than enough. and i use 1 5/8 on my 100 hf2. do you get shaft whips?

@prince023 Everyone keeps telling my 5/8s is too big on any reef gun but personally ive had no problems with shooting or trigger fail (had it this way for almost 3 years now). Its honestly one of the most accurate set up's ive used. The shaft on it is slightly smaller diameter then the factory one so it had the speed but no penetrating power that i wanted. Thats when i jumped to 5/8's. I keep the bands around 23-24 inches.

@waldod15 lol personally, I don't eat it. I just help to clean up the reef but i do know a few people who make soup with them. If not its just crab bait because their high in Cig.

@TheBlackveilbrides44 Hmm... I would definetly check the forecast before actually heading to any spots. Right now north side of Oahu the water is all murky from the swell that just came in. Definetly check with a fishing supply store to get a booklet for all the regulations. I'll message you some links shortly.
