  • Thank you sooo much for this video, very informative! Now I'm not so nervous to try this:)

  • Thank you .We just trimmed our Dalmations nails using food as a treat. This dog is freaked out about everything. But was so calm and did not even know we trimmed because the food treat. She did not even realize we trimmed. thank you

  • Dear Dr. Becker. I know you will think I am being disrespectful but I am not. I have been cutting nails for 46 years and it is as easy to see the edge of the quick in a black nail as it is in a white. I NEVER cut the nails from the front as this is where a bad accident can happen if the dog jerks. When you trim from the front the dog can push his nail through the clippers before you realize you are cutting. I always trim from the rear holding the dog close to my body for support.

  • Very helpful!

  • This really works. I have a part chihuahua part Piranha mix that will let me trim the nails if Very carefully done as in the video. What kind of abandonment laws are there in Illinois?
