you should also loosely wrap the clipper cord around your wrist in case the horse makes a sudden movement and knocks the clippers out of your hand,,this way they don't fall the floor potentially breaking them or your blades:)

Awe my horse puts his head down when I go to clip his bridle path. Well I ask his to put his head down. he's 16 hands and I don't have to use a stool which is a major bonus.

I agree ! :) My filly likes to eat, chew, and lick on my clippers.
but for show, which most people clip their horses for, it depends on the breed how long the bridle path is.
