NBS nightly news used to broadcast out of New York in the Seventies and Eighties, right up until the 'Squid Incident'. I used to watch it with my grandparents, so it was really cool to find this old clip, from 1970, with NBS anchor Ted Philips.
It's celebrating the tenth anniversary of the 'birth' of Doctor Manhattan and a new era of technological advances and scientific breakthroughs. Of course, if we'd known back then what we do now this report would have been a whole lot different. Anyway, I'm posting this up as a relic of a bygone age, when we really thought Big Blue was the saviour of mankind.
Enjoy.
