  • My grandpa lived up there in the 70's. All of his buildings were torn down after he moved out.

  • Thanks for putting this together. It would be even better if we could see some photos of the town while it was still "alive". I used to spend weekend retreats with our church youth group back in the 70's in what I think was the old school house.

  • My dad used to live up there in the 20's. We used go park at the baseball field by the coke ovens when we'd go fishing. Is the concrete structure the swimming pool for the school? I haven't seen it in 30 or 40 years. I'm going to have to go back up and poke around some more. If you haven't already, check out the town of Melmont across the river from lower Fairfax.
