our people made an agreement with the whites, they honored it for about 90 yrs and then slowly they started to break it the whites have to honor the treaties which state we can hunt the way we always have with out interference from the law if we choose to kill more than one moose to feed the elderly who cannot do this themselves or a single mother that doesn't hunt so be it we take care of our community if the whites choose to oppress their own that is not our fault

People who are generalizing about indians and native americans are ignorant and or 14. However, no one should be sticking up for these guys if they are indian/native because being native does not grant you the right to kill from a vehicle. In Alaska, for instance, you can hunt a certain number of feet from a public road, but not from a vehicle. Who cares how many people were fed, that's not the point. The point is they were poaching.
