  • this movie was pretty good, i dont understand why it had a poor rating :S

  • @smiledammit24

I didn't "watch" you, but you didn't just magically ended up on the video. Also, I found the screaming annoying, but that doesn't make the rest of the movie horrible. I like the movie, it's my opinion, and you cannot change it, sorry. And bashing me for having an opinion that's different from yours? Guess where you'll end up 13 years from now, when you're 20, acting like that. More people claim to like the movie, yet you don't bash them. I now send you to the pit of blocked users

  • @roflmao897 Revenge of the Sith was composed the same year, that is why this looks a bit like "General Grievous" (track 5 of the soundtrack), the rythms are almost the same, but the both scores are still very different from each other.

  • John Williams put some of his Star Wars music in there.

  • @GunnytheBunny1 Well, there are always such people. And most of the time, they're more arrogant on the internet. There they feel strong.

  • @johnwilliamsfan786 I know right? Unfortunately, there are arrogant, thesaurus-thumping, anti-American, blissfully-transparent, sexist, psychopathic, immature, profane, smart-ass trolls that think that they somehow have the right to demand us to think the same opinions the way they do. Kind of like smi- well, I'd rather not say, I think we all have certain people in mind. And for the people that do hate Spielburg's movies, try watching them without falling dead-drunk five minutes through.

  • How can anyone say that this movie is horrible? It's my personal favorite.

  • @lostinspace771 Indeed. +1

  • @TheBeardieandtheLeo Well that's what the book is about. The movie is completely different. It scared me too. From how horrible it was. There just wasn't much in it. I expected a lot from a brilliant director like Speilberg. He could have made it a lot greater and more interesting. Tom Cruise ruined it for me too. He's too full of himself and that attitude shows in his films.

  • Replying to MrDetwaa, this film was different because it showed from a civilians perspective what they'll actually do if there ever was an alien invasion. Sure there are some plot holes and that annoying girl you just want to snap her neck, but I found this film to be an adequate portrayal of mass fear of millions (maybe even billions) and it made it unique because of it. Another is from what I remember, I saw videos why many viewers were disappointed from the film since it wasn't like the book.

  • @MrDetwaa Even though you replied to a comment that is a year old, I feel the need to reply to your comment. Not with ranting, but as a discussion. I thought this movie was great for it showed a portrayal of 'fear', upon a force that we humans are not capable of controlling due to the inferiority of our technological advances. This movie scared me shitless when I first watched it and couldn't sleep for 2 months. Back then, there were many movies that always portrayed heroism. This was different.

  • @TheBeardieandtheLeo cuz it wasn't really a "war of the worlds." Half of the fucking thing was based in some fucking basement.... WHERE IS THE WAR???? WHERE IS THE WORLD??????
