I find it funny that people are spreading misconceived views on the health care bill. Pointing out that page 425 to page 430 is a threat to old people. It only states there that the old person can chose his own health treatment with the help of their physician. That means when he comes to an old age would he like to have as life sustaining treatment. If people would just Google the health care bill they would be better informed. Instead taking it as a truth from lobbyist with own agenda.

I would rather have my tax dollars pay for people who can not find work, than how you would like to spend your money killing people. Have you applied for welfare? Do you know how long you can stay on welfare? I bet you don't. I hope that you look these things up, because you will learn in short order, these programs are very temporary. You can not stay on your couch long. And always remember, no matter what you do, you can be replaced. Get off your high horse or you will be knocked off! Karma!

I think those who are better off who have insurance and think the rest of us who are not so well off should be terminate for treatable disease are either selfish or stupid, everyone has the right that you have including having access to health care

Thanks for the informed reply. i can see why those like MoFo feel the way they do, but their proposed solutions are totally wrong. Govt. meddling in the free market is a prime reason HC costs are so high. Let insurance co's compete across state lines. Let people establish their own, tax free, HC accounts so they can shop for care. Competition always reduces cost and improves service. Limit these ridiclous malpractice suits. Socialized medicine has not, and does not work.Same with socialism.

Stickmodee, I agree about the VA, I run a VA clinic 1 day a week. Lots of paper work, not enough patient care, with >50% of dollars to administration. We Drs in Medicine know what the problem is. This bill makes health care more expensive and less effective. Comments from uneducated- like MoeFoeChateau "There has to be reform or we will go broke." Does this logically lead to "We need the Government to mandate Health Insurance" How does this keep us from going broke. We just go broke faster.

Great comments. I do a lot of work with the VA hospitals with what I do. If they are a snapshot of govt. run healthcare, we're all in deep trouble. There are a lot of good, caring people. But, there are also those just there for a pension. So much waste, unnaccountability and innefficiency. Scary.

I have been a physician for 35 years. Not one physician I know supports this. This bill will legalize arbitrary irresponsible government control of both patients and Drs. It will increase costs, limit access and set life saving test and procedures off limits. Affordable, cost effective private insurance will be destroyed, and the great medical practice we all now enjoy will perish. The liberals will finally get the medical ignorance they all want, inexperienced and ineffective, like Obama.
