My new SIG P229 w/ Night Sights.

I've been wanting this SIG for some time. No, I'm not keeping the pistol bayonet on it... My permenant attachment on this pistol is now my Surefire X300 Weapon Light. I just put the bayonet on it because I find it comical.
The SIG P229 needs not rationalization to excuse the purchase... it is the best .40 caliber pistol on the market. I know, I sell all of them. This one is a basic, plain jane P229 with Night Sights. Nothing special. No tricks, no gimicks... Just a solid, well build handgun that was developed specifically for the .40 cartridge.

It that the German frame or the US (Exeter, NH) made frame? I wonder if the quality is he same.

@dojmike I think it is. But these are US frames. I've found no tangible differences. The only SIG I had that fractured was a German framed gun. So... I'll let the SIG Forums guys debate that.

Why are some P229 more in price than others. I want this for my first gun, but i don't want to pay for stuff I won't need. The gun i saw was the P229R-ESE. It had night sights, a duck tail, and a thiker sand paper feel grip on it. I loved it but the Gun was $1100.00. Is that normal for that gun? Help.

@17samfisher apparently the angled "gangbanger style" of holding the pistol is very recoil resistant because of the muscles in the arm getting tightened up,and that it also gives greater movement and accuracy than existing stances. haven't personally tried it but it does look interesting and seem to work

@sawyerbobby I'm curious, have you tried shooting using the C.A.R. stance? I just ask because it looks..interesting, holding the handgun at a slight sideways angle...
