'Kind Hearts and Coronets' is my favourite comedy, and one of my favourite films of any genre.

love this film

Understand that this is a private bank. They don't pass money over the counter...as do the vulgar establishments nowadays that precipitated the recent panic and crisis.

Yes but how do you explain their 'extravagances?'
It isn't as though he's stating 'we are extravagant,' which is plural; he's saying 'extravagances,' now that surely is incorrect. How does this one work then.....'He had riches beyond compare.'
Thank you.
Jennie.

Jennie , Since it is an adjective there is no plural form . For example 'an extravagant man ' or ' a rich man '
'extravagant' and 'rich' here are both adjectives describing the noun 'man ' and cannot be made plural . Of course we can have 'extravagant men ' = plural
-
How would one plural 'extravagant,' then?
Thank you.
Jennie.
As a fan of this film, I think you'll find this is Dennis Price, not Vincent!
