Brian Eno - Dead Finks Don't Talk

from Brian Eno - Here Come The Warm Jets, Island Records, 1973.

"The title Warm Jets came from the guitar sound on the track of that name, which I described on the track sheet as 'warm jet guitar', because it sounded like a tuned jet. Then I had the pack of playing cards with the picture of the woman in there, and they sort of connected. That was one of the things that was going on at the time: this idea that music was still tied to some idea of revolution, and that one of the revolutions was a sexual revolution. I wasn't making a big political point, I just liked having fun with those things. Most people didn't realise for a long time -- it was rather deeply concealed!" [Brian Eno interviewed by Andy Gill in Mojo, June 1998]

  • !st film was from a GM autorama exhibit of the future, made sometime in the late 50's I think, I've seen it several times, the other I have no idea. Both work very well with the song though, interesting and good work!

  • this is fucking awesome

  • great song. mst3k gave this video the treatment, for those wondering. i forget which episode

  • Jajajaja... me encanto el video, me morí de la risa con esto!!!! Y La canción nada que ver... Obviamente la musica de Eno no tiene la culpa del chiste!!! Pero esta muerto de risa!!!! xD

  • Haha, I recognize the footage from a MST3K short. Works well with the song, though.

  • Brian Eno is totally genious. But i like more his experimental and drone ambient period than roxy, early glam etc period, annyway this song is amazing.

Video is not official, I saw this clip someone put for the My Death song, of Scott walker:

  • wow! is that really actual video for that song?
