11:10- oh phil, do not always pick on gabriel to some journalist -- gabriel had made up his mind long ago, he just was tactful enough not to tell the truth and pretended indecision...gabriel and a genesis reunion? singing "mama" and "misunderstanding"?? or hiding backstage during collins era songs?? pretty unlikely

collins decided to quit the road only to find himself quit by his wife...so it is

I love Genesis (both versions), but in my opinion, the musical desert that was the mid-80s infected even them. The bland, repetitive, ultimately forgettable style of songs like "Easy Lover" and "Invisible Touch" were nerve-grating to me then, and heartbreaking to me now when compared to "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" and "Old Man There on the Corner". I actually got sick of Genesis and Phil Collins around 1986-87 or so. The mid-80s (with some exceptions) were a horrible time creatively.

@ForceMaximus84 That's a good point, especially seeing as they did mention Steve's first solo album (released while he was a member of Genesis) and Peter's first solo album (within two years of leaving) as well. The only member whose solo work they didn't cover was Anthony Phillips', and his solo career didn't begin until a full six years after he left the band.
Which Genesis do you prefer?
Gabriel or Collins
