December 2009, an impression of the Trincomalee Campus of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka. The campus has been relocated and rebuild in 2008. Currently the Campus offers a three year Bachelor and a one year specialization program. In addition, a three year external program is available for locals.
The campus was established in 2000 in downtown Trincomalee, starting with approximatly 70 students. In 2008, the campus has been relocated to a new site at Konesapuri and the amount of students has increased upto approximatly 500. The absorbation capacity at the campus is 12% of the total amount of applications.
The two faculties at the campus are; the Faculty of Communication and Business studies, and the Faculty of Applied Science. There are plans to include a new Faculty of Engineering in the future.
