0:10 the signifcance to the #34. It was a stock number that SIR (Studio Instruments Rentals. L.A.) labels their equipment or in this case amplifers. That amplifer once belonged to SIR. which was stock #34. #34 had a Frank Levi mod similar to Caswell's mod to the #39 but since the amps were not the same the overall tone is different. #36 (the real AFD amp) is an exact replica of #39 with a few extra tweeks, since it had no tremolo circuit for the extra gain, they had to make one.

one guy in my college got a slash signature gibson les paul (a $7000) gibson. He paid $250 for it from a cash converters shop. Soooo jealous.

@emeraldstudio one thing to notice aswell is to not believe too much what is written on the internet. ppl love to put up shit just to get heared by ppl. and as you all know, a thing that is mysterious and then one guy writes about it revealed, then ppl tend to go that direction without questioning the liability of that source.
-
@emeraldstudio yeah agreed. souded very awkward to challenge the man himself. played the amp with his fingers, drunk or sober, and question his memory. but then again, slash seems not interested in giving that much info on what was done on his amps. he would have known it for 20+ years WHO made WHAT in his amps. i noticed slash being discreet not to mention too much about the famous amp till eric argued.

Boy...Santiago sure is hard to understand sometimes.....I wish his mic was louder.

@emeraldstudio yes. I noticed the same thing. It was a very weird and strained exchange of info there. I found that a little offensive from Eric.

Instead of a footswitchable gain boost they should just put in a footswitchable second master volume that way you can get the same tone just with more volume that is adjustable!! I just got a david bray modded marshall with the above mod, check his mods out at david brays modded marshalls

Yeah, that is what a I recently heard, although the story seems to go back and forth on plexi vs. 800. I can't get a return call from Tim to do a mod.
-
It was a JCM 800 modded by Tim Caswell, the number 39 mod, which he will still do for you today. Buy an 800, get Tim to mod it for you and give the guy that deserves the credit some cash.
fx loop, for some welcome to the jungle delay
