The Saleen S7 is the definitive masterpiece among the American supercars. I don't believe a Corvette or a Viper will ever defeat it. And as for the SSC Ultimate Aero, whether it's faster or not, it's one thousand times uglier than this Saleen. Thumbs up for Mr. Steve Saleen! I love and respect the S7!

yeah, so what the fuck is there deal with using the corvette zr1 on one of there episodes, the s7 at this point wont take the best time on top gear but then you take the tt then tt comp then i bet it would for sure make it in the top 5 without a shadow of a doubt i really want to touch this car before my mortal liabilities take there upper hand and my hole is dug.

@ThePrototype27602 Look up their Enzo Ferrari review...
Ferrari would not give them a car but they found a way to get one on their show. They just are not as anxious to see SSC's and Saleen's on their board.
The Tuatara will be on Top Gear though and I assure you it wil top the board Google it.

@Greendude33 Actually, most of those car manufacturers just give them cars for free, for the publicity. After all, Top Gear do have over 350 million viewers worldwide, and most of them are young adults and teenagers who learns most of what they know about cars from Top Gear.
I wouldn't be surprised if the manufacturer paid the BBC; it's basically advertising, and Top Gear are very influential.
As far as the S7, there are very few, and it's too late to test it now. Production stopped in 2004.

@ThePrototype27602 Top Gear has the largest budget in all of Automotive Journalism *Fact
They can test any car that they want... Look at what they did to get an Enzo... Or in the USA road trip they just bought a brand new Challenger just to test it...

@Greendude33 You think it's easy to ship a car all the way from the US to the UK, just for a few days.
Top Gear would most likely have to pay, and they have a limited budget.

caparo t1 beat it... :(

the M3 GT2 on the other hand costs more than the F430 GT2. it's pretty much unrecognizable mechanically and otherwise by the time they are done with it. they replaced the strut front suspension with short long arm suspension for cripes sake! and the driver sits where the back seat is supposed to be in the production version! not to mention it weighs almost a thousand pounds less or something like that :D
-
@Dominguero36 shockingly, the F430 is the closest to a race car. it's actually so close to it's GT2 version. They gave it a different crankshaft, swapped out the F1 for an X-Trac unsynchronized sequential, got rid of the E-Diff and replaced it with an LSD, and that's your lot. it's closer to the production version than the GT3 version, which is more powerful but is slower than the GT2 due to the weight penalties on the GT3. the F430 GT2 was a truly dominant car in it's class.

@Ideology252 try the new 5.0 and the old 4.6 4v. you won't be disappointed. as for pushrods, just look at hammond's review of the Vauxhall VXR8.
Dude Top Gear will never test one because they dont want to see an american car take the top spot on their board.
