Dumbbell Retrieves

Maisy is still pretty new to these retrieves. After two years (yes, really) of picking up the dumbbell from the floor but not getting any real distance or duration, I figured the heck with it. After that much time, she knew what she was supposed to do, so I challenged her to start working harder. You can tell she's a bit unsure- she's never been asked to work quite this hard- so I'm using my voice to encourage her and support her. I praise like crazy (and give a cookie) when she gets it right. She's still kind of slow, but with each session, she's getting quicker and more confident. I'm hopeful that in another week or two she'll be rocking that dumbbell.
