For a combined celebration of Remembrance Day and my girlfriend's birthday, we went up to Goldstream Provincial Park to watch the salmon spawning.

See some of the beautiful scenery of British Columbia, and a heckuva lot of salmon swimming upstream!

Well, if you've ever seen my camera, you'd know that it is very much physically impossible to get one's thumb in the picture (the hands go nowhere near the lens, it's not a pocket cam...) I'm guessing you saw something else that you mistook for a thumb, or you're pulling my leg. :)

I think I see the clip you're referring to, it's the top of someone's HEAD (on the left, yes?). As you could probably tell from the audio, there were TONS of people there and I was happy just to get relatively people-free shots wherever I could (not easy under the circumstances).
