I'm not the best of sopranos, I know...
Me singing per la gloria. I did this for my jury this last semester.
My recording quality is poor, because i don't have any professional equipment, and some things might be a little fast because I recorded this with the accompaniment track that came with the Italian book.

  • Just work on your breath control a little more, and that should help with the end of your phrases, as well as intonation. Its tough to record with an accompaniment CD as opposed to a live accompanist, which explains the timing issues in some spots. Great dynamic contrast though! :) What year are you? Fantastic job!

  • Thanks for the critique, I've been working on breathing ever since I started studying with my current teacher. breath control is a monster I haven't overcome just yet.

This recording is actually almost a couple years old. I did this my sophomore year for juries. (and have uploaded pieces from my junior recital!)

I'll be beginning my senior year in voice next semester.

  • You have a lovely, refined soprano voice. I can hear the cultivation.......

  • I'm impressed! And, by the way, I absolutely love your little bird icon. It's clever. :-)

  • brava

  • great job

  • nicely done! you keep the energy up throughout the song and you tone is nice. the high notes are good. I noticed two things though: your onset in the beginning of each phrase is a little forceful (not all phrases are marker with < in this song) and the rhythm: after "v'amero" you are coming in late. good job otherwise!

  • Well done, you're doing the same as me, I hadn't had a lesson mine yet, but it's a nice song to sing for fun.

  • this is beautiful!! you have a lovely voice. i am soprano as well, and i am singing this song! you sang this well.

  • thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!

haha. i'm doing this for s&e and my director never recorded the voice part.

i was like dying trying to get a start on learning it because we aren't really given any help with the text or any of that jazz.

    so thanks again!
