Dropped in just to see the end of the story. Neverhood is sooo overrated. Somehow everybody seem to miss how stupid most of the puzzles are. They don't reward you if you're smart, they just reward the time you've wasted. Of course, the graphics is really something, there is an interesting vibe to it, there are some nice animations, but come on... plot and puzzles make it such a waste of time. I'm not gonna waste mine, clicking away on the mouse&cheese puzzle - and that's where I said "stop".

@arsemoleable The game has its following mostly because of its atmosphere and soundtrack - there's really nothing else quite like it. The puzzles are definitely the weakest park of the game, and do tend to feel a bit tacked on, but I wouldn't say they're bad enough to detract from the overall experience.

That said, there's a trick to the mouse puzzle - the mouse always faces the hole you should choose next. There shouldn't be any guessing involved.

You know whats funny? Klaymen doesnt speak for the whole game but in the both endings he does.

How can anyone say the game is crap or waste of time?! The spontaneity and sometimes non-sense reactions of some of the game parts is the thing that is funny and entertaining... The gadgets and puzzles are just great too. So if you want some profound game or some with an intelligently higher purpose then play chess (which is kind of boring and doesn't ever vary)... Well, I personally think the game is awesome, great, epic, funny and magnificently made. And the soundtrack is terrific too.

Thumbs this up if hearing Klogg's laugh in the title screen is the first thing you can tie the game to (due to it being in the title screen every time you play it)

@arsemoleable all games with puzzles have some pointless and tedious ones. Doesn't stop this from being an absolutely lovable game and you clearly having a black and withered heart.

@arsemoleable Overrated? The game is remembered because of a small group of dedicated fans, not skyrocketing sales or rampant review scores. Granted, a lot of the puzzles could be done better, and in terms of its much-beloved atmosphere it's no Oddworld, but it's still a charming and unique game.

If you want overrated look up Call of Duty, God of War, Gears of War, Red Dead Redemption, Bayonetta, Grand Theft Auto, Heavy Rain, Battlefield, FFVII, ect.
