  • Sounds good . It would be better without the steel mouthpiece.

  • @bszwed Thanks for listening. Although I exclusively use metal mouthpieces, I have been trained and know that a Selmer or Eugene Rousseau with a 3.5 plus reed is ideal for legit playing. I just have never liked the discomfort of playing them. You make yours sound great. Would love to hear you play Paul Creston or Jacques Ibert.

  • @bszwed I'm sorry I thought the saxophonist featured on your page was in fact you. Perhaps in your opinion it woudl sound better with a different mouthpiece but good or bad it wouldn't sound like me :-)

  • is this played in E major

  • I want to play the alto

  • @KWOOTfluke There is a link for cd and downloads in the description

  • @jasonlloyd33 i have peen playing for about 5 years. i just use the basic rico size 3 reeds. i am thinking of becoming a jazz mucisian, although i do want to put more music on my channel, but i have to get a tuner first.

  • @KWOOTfluke Thank you so much! Usually vibrato is required for classical style pieces. I am finding that I use it less when playing jazz. I think that it is a subconcious stylistic choice. Thank you for your compliments about my tone. I use a Meyer Metal 6j with Rico Select Jazz 3 reeds. You sound great too keep up the good work. How long have you been playing?

  • i love your sound! i like the vibrato, is it natural to you or did you put it in there on puropse? But nice prasing, i like your tone and clarity, and the way you transition from your lower register to your higher register!!!! You are now my role model in my sax playing!

  • This is my favorite Christmas Carol...and you do it justice! Thank you for playing it so beautifully!
