Soha-Rani tie for the role of Chandramukhi in Aur Devdas

Aur Devdas has been creating news even before the making of the film. For that matter, the cast hasn't been decided yet. Rather, the cast keeps changing every now and then and that's how the film remains in news.

Apparently, the once decided cast of Shiney Ahuja (Devdas, of course), Lara Dutta (Paro) and Soha Ali Khan (Chandramukhi) is subject to change. Pritish Nandy Communications (PNC) wanted Rani Mukherjee to play the part of Chandramukhi. However, due to date problems Rani had to say no, in spite of wanting to do the film. Moreover, it's heard that Rani will be soon tying the knots, which is why she is not taking any new projects. That's when they approached Soha for the role.

Dilip Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan, Suchitra Sen and Aishwarya Rai, Vyjayanthimala and Madhuri Dixit have immortalised the roles in Devdas and its veritably stupid and insane to make another Devdas within the same decade, tha last one was released. May be in another 20-30 years or so!
