    Totally agree  and sympathise with your views. Rare is it nowadays that we have films of such outstanding talent in so many spheres. Now, it all seems to be about special effects and stratospheric noise levels.

    Lol You gotta love trailers pre 1990...>Altho even in the movie "Castaway" staring tom hanks. The trailer gives away the ending to the point where you think.. "Why would i go and watch this?"

    I saw this many years ago. I am lucky. At 83, I had the priviledge of watching the greatest films of all time. I had role models. What do they have today? Who is there that kids want to emulate? I had many. Even Betty Grable to skip school and watch her dance in Rosie O'Grady. What do we have now? Wake up producers! Give our kids memories.
