Mosolov wrote a piece about the working conditions in a steel foundry. Is this a setting for a modern age?

Or...

The certainty of uncertainty. Bells tolling for all.

I've been experimenting with the Axis 64 and the h-pi.com TBX1. It allows me to basically reasign notes to all those Axis buttons. This is then fed into my pc2r synth. I am making this music for the new 81/80 microtonal channel on live365.com, so there are parts that sound out of tune to our western ear!

can you believe this is the only youtube video with the tag "Xenharmonic"

  • I have to say, your microtonal stuff tends to evoke Gyorgy Ligeti in me, though my only experience with his work is in Kubrik films. This modern "foundry" feels more chaotic and more expansive than Mosolov's, but I really like the driving rhythm of factory sounds in his piece. I'd love to hear a better recording of "Steel Foundry."
