鬼附体 经文威力何在？

净空法师简介：二月十五日生于安徽省庐江县，幼居福 建建瓯。抗战时，求学于贵州国立第三中学，胜利后就 读于南京市立第一中学。一九四九年来台湾，服务于实践学社，公余之时研读经史古文，先 后追随方东美先生，章嘉大师，李炳南老居士等研习哲学、佛经十三年。 　　一九五九年于台北市圆山临济寺剃度，法名觉净字净空。受具足戒后，在国内外，弘扬佛法 ，讲述《华严经》、《法华经》、《楞严经》、《圆觉经》、《六祖坛经》、《金刚经》、 《净土五经》等大乘经论数十种，三十六年无间断，现存音影带三千数百卷。法师在国内先 后创办华藏法施会、华藏精舍、华藏佛教视听图书馆、华藏讲堂、及佛陀教育基金会。首开 风气之 先，使用视听教育之方法，弘扬佛法，大量制作佛法讲经录音带、录影带， 分送世界各地，以及倡印赠送《大藏经》暨各种经论善书逾千余万册，佛菩 萨像多种数百万张流通全球。 法师曾任台北圆山临济寺书记，十普寺三藏学院教师，南普陀佛学院教 师，中国佛教会设计委员，弘法委员，东方佛教学院学教授兼教务主任，松 山寺大专佛学讲座讲师，中国内学院院长，中国文化学院教授，中国佛教会 大专院校佛学讲座总主讲，天主教东亚精神生活研习所教授，华藏法施会会 长，华藏精舍住持，华藏佛教图书馆导师，华藏净宗学会会长暨佛陀教育基 金会董事长，美国达拉斯佛教会会长，新加坡净宗学会导师。法师于国内外 倡导促进成立'净宗学会'十五处，提倡专修净业，专弘净宗。法师已届古 稀之年，于今辞去海内外佛教社团一切职务。专心弘法教学，老实念佛，求 生净土。法师首倡'佛教'正名为'佛陀教育'。指出大乘教学方针在彻底破除 迷信，启发真智，使能明辨真、妄、正、邪、是、非、善、恶、利、害，建 立理智、大觉、奋发、进取、乐观、向上的慈悲济世的人生宇宙观，才能圆 满达成解决众生一切苦难，获得真实永恒幸福的教育目标。master chin kung darma talks

During the second half of the video, his venerable has mentioned that someone who has recite sutra for 8 long years and has the "Kung Fu" to liberate preta or ghost. I think what he meant in layman term is that in order for any sutra or mantra to have any effects, one will need to familiarize he/herself with the particular sutra and mantra and let the teaching of the buddha take root in their mind.

During funeral ritual, family members usually invite the memebers of the sangha to recite sutra and mantra. Whether the deceased can be liberated depend greatly on whether the deceased can generate virtuous thought after listening to the sutra and mantra. And if virtuous thought is generated then positive karma seeded in the past will be activated and then the ritual will be of use, if not the ritual has little effects.
