@TransformAutobot01 It's the curse of the fly, the curse is the rapid ageing one of the lead charcters suffers from caused by fly genes passed down his bloodline.
A lot of other things in the story don't add up though.
@TransformAutobot01 the scientists of the movie are descendents of the original fly guy-the curse refers to his future blood still tampering with transporter technology
I totally agree - I am 41 now and my grandparents have long passed away, but looking at this makes me think it was just yesterday that I was yelling for my grandmother after beng so scared of this damn movie! Thanks for posing this - I got a kick out of reading this on my phone over a very snowy weekend here!!
I'm glad they dumped the fusion-with-a-fly routine and had the machine work, but still possibly leave you disfigured, genetically damaged, rendered imbecile, or all of the above. It's like Teleporter Roulette!
I thought it was a good concept. True, it left the unimaginative mopes who just wanted another guy with a fly's head back in the dust, but I figure, screw 'em.
Creepy film. The whole thing is here on YouTube. I still like it. It's more sad and moody than scary, though.
It's fun being terrified when you're little and there are adults around. They're like gods when you're a kid. Nothing bad can really happen when they're present, right? Then you hit your twenties and go, "Someone like me was responsible for my welfare all this time?! AAAAAAAAAA!!!"
That realization was much scarier than "The Curse of the Fly" to me, and "The Curse of the Fy" was plenty scary.
Me, too!!! I remember I watched this at my grandparents' house when I was a kid and my grandmother ended up having to sleep with me because I was so terrified...

That sounds cozy, though.
