I would rather watch this movie on HBO than WGN. They edited out too many scenes on WGN. I liked the uncut HBO version better.

This movie did not deserved to bomb back in 1995. It is written by Joe Esterzhas who wrote Showgirls that year. This movie was released in theatres a few weeks after Showgirls and the backlash regarding that movie effected this one. Showgirls now has a cult following I wish this one did.

UHM..i really don't know why Jade, the movie i mean,is so unanimously rated as a bad movie..i liked it and i've seen in VHS i think was 1997.What difference is in this one and Eyes wide shut of Kubrik? Also Fiorentino and Caruso are a lot better than Cruise and Kidman.Maybe these themed (erotic thriller) movies like Basic Instinct and Sliver simply grown old too fast. But i liked the movie.I would like to know the issue of the audience with Jade.

This is the worst car chase scene of all time. This would be fine in a comedy like "What's Up, Doc?" where Ryan O'Neal and Barbra Streisand crash through a Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco. It's supposed to be a mystery drama, but here it's bad comedy. There's more bad stuff than just that in "Jade." The worst thing about Jade, which isn't a comedy, is that it rips off the great San Francisco comedies such as "What's Up, Doc?," "48 Hours," and my personal fave, "Foul Play," \
average movie, but one of the best chase scenes of all-time! WIlliam Friedkin is a master. No hollywood bs, no phony music for suspense, no CGI, and the expressions on Caruso's face are great. This was Caruso's best movie.
thanks for posting this. I remember seeing this in the theater and the audience went from half asleep to sitting on the edge of their seats.
