Levitron Revolution & IKEA shelf on display

Due to the popularity of my previous video I decided to upload this to show my cube's semi permanent home. I put some feet on the bottom of the shelf and rested it upon my sub-woofer enclosure. (also from IKEA). I was debating to mount the shelf on the wall behind it, but I needed to figure out a way to hide the power cord from the Levitron inside. I might still come up with an idea to do that.

Also note that there are many sizes of LACK shelfs at IKEA not just little square ones! If you have any questions let me know.

do you turn it on 24/7? can the LED be turn off individually? is it still working after 5 or 6 months? I just found plenty of negative comments about the product....even is cool and I'm tempted to get one for myself

I leave it on 24/7 and its still running well / silent. It never falls off on its own (except once during a power outage). You can't turn off the LEDs, they are actually to "help" you center the magnet property. I didn't like the LEDs either which is what inspired me to put it in the shelf. Its not hard to put the magnet on when the LEDs are hidden by the shelf.

Thx for the reply! Is really nice piece of art. Where do you get it? I'm looking to get one with 220-240V adapter, is your AC adapter 110-240V? or 110-120v?

I got the Levitron on ebay. Search for 160613186848 on ebay to see the exact auction I purchased it from. I cannot remember what my AC adapter is I'll have to check when I get back home.

perpetual spinning

This particular cube rotates on its own at this speed. When I placed it on there it immediately started rotating. I can speed up the rotation (see my other video) but eventually it always returns to this speed. I suspect if you had something very light OR perfectly balanced it would not rotate.
