MB put out some of my favorite toys and games including Star Bird, Dark Tower and Battle Masters. Cool stuff then and now.

Im 14 and ive jusrt got the 2010 one from town and as soon as i got home a huge smile lifted on my dads face then he went into the loft and pulled out his one from this era it made me smile how me and my father had the same toy lol

Christmas 1979!9 Years old. I got my coolest toy ever, Big Trak!! Used to chase our cat around the house with it.

Had one. Destroyed it with constant use. Main front axle and battery cover (for the 4D cells) typically broke first. The O-ring on the middle tires are easy to replace (I think they are standard 2.75 inch O-rings). I have bought three off of Ebay and use one of them as display. The other 2 are in storage. My children don't appreciate them as much as I did when I was a kid. They have fancier toys now-a-days. I liked using my with my friend's Star Wars toys. Fit right in.

Someone said, "It must have been expensive." It was. In 1979 the main unit sold for $40 and the trailer sold for $40 too. According to the online Inflation Calculator run by the U.S. government (at bls[dot]gov /data /inflation_calculator .htm ), that's $254 (plus tax) in 2013 dollars.

I had both parts, and thought the trailer was kind of lame. I pretty much only ever used the Big Trak itself. Also, it took at least 4 D-cell batts, and those were expensive and didn't last very long!

I could have wrote the same thing! LOL. I used to chase my cat "shy" with it. Also, annoyed my 11 yr old sister in the other room with it. Good childhood.
