84-year-old Bernard of Los Angeles and his daughter, Gaila, fight to keep from losing family home of 45 years over a mortgage technicality.

We must put a personal face on foreclosure, and we must take action if we have any chance of preventing millions of people from losing their homes. Have you been affected by the housing crisis? Do you know anyone who has? We're asking you to record your story, or the story of a friend, family member, or neighbor, and send it to us in a video or through a written submission. We're collecting stories to display on http://FightingForOurHomes.com.

  • SHAME ON EMC taking advantage of an elderly WWII vet! They will get their justice, but all you EMC victims need to fight and speak up! Like this family.

  • keep the fight against EMC, they are conducting illegal practices every day.

  • Wow finally a story that I agree with and that makes sense. I hope the person that did this loses their job.

But how come after 45 years you still owe money? refinanaced?

But none the less this is outrangerous.
