In this tutorial Brandon teaches you an effect that we like to call "afterglow." Everything is explained step-by-step, so it should be easy enough to follow! =)

How to install a Font into Photoshop
*****************************************

You don't literally install fonts straight into Photoshop. Photoshop actually loads the fonts that are on your computer. In some cases, this is pretty easy. On Windows Vista/7 (idk about Macs) you should be able to double-click the font file and click a button somewhere that says "Install" which will install the font on your computer. Check Google for more details.

Once your desired font is installed on your computer, Photoshop will automatically load it in its list of fonts. There you go!

  • Really awesome, I just have 1 question. What way, is the easiest to get started with PS for a newbie? I really wanna be able to do stuff like this, without tutorials and stuff like that :D hope you reply ;D

  • @troels1996 Well starting out, tutorials are the way to go! =) There's tutorials for countless topics on Photoshop, so I would suggest looking up tutorials for beginners. Sadly, we don't have many of those right now, though I hope to release a series specifically for beginners within the next couple of months =)

  • @FairyTail023 you can also do this:

    extract the download

press the start button (if you have windows)

type font and press Fonts, drag the ttf file in the folder.

I dont know what to do if you have a Mac, sry if you have

  • are the vignette brushes available yet for download?? i'm looking at the site, and roman abstract brushes.

I was also wondering, what if you don't want a background? It would be cool if i could just use the text and a graphic art i have.

    Thanks.

  • how come when i tried to Download the Bleeding Cowboys .. there's no "INSTALL" in it ? do i have to extract it or something ?

  • @DKANG1994 That happened to me on the glass font tutorial! Make sure its in RGB mode, all those filters aren't always in CMYK mode (you can change by going to Image>Mode> RGB color)
