King's Quest VII OLD playthrough - Ch. 1 (1 of 3)

"My tormented soul has been wandering this desert for years, and I have been unable to find fresh water or open the exit through the cliff. But you can probably figure out both in the next twenty minutes or so."

Unfortunately, it took me 21 minutes to get through this chapter so I had to divide it into three parts.

--------------------General Description--------------------

This playthrough is more than a simple walkthrough. I often go certain places and click on certain things that don't necessarily help complete the game. In fact, I sometimes even make "mistakes" on purpose just so you can see what happens. I don't die though, since we've already covered that. ;)

I also try to solve puzzles differently than that "other" playthrough whenever I can. The most glaring difference is my solution to Chapter 1, but there are other puzzles that differ as well.

Furthermore, conversations with certain characters can vary somewhat depending on what order you complete the puzzles, so I made an effort to show different conversations than the ones in the other playthrough.

In this version, the '+' key speeds up your character. However, the game often resets the speed to the default setting. Tapping the '+' key in those cases usually returns the character to max speed.

I apologize for the occasional buzzing noise the game makes when playing certain sounds; it's a common problem for this game. Sometimes my mouse behaves erratically as well.

At Gog.com (Good Old Games), they have a huge amount of classic games to buy; you can get a King's Quest 7 + 8 bundle for only $4.99. The site's versions are even compatible with the latest Windows versions like Windows XP/7 etc. Or if you already have the game, you can run it through the program DOSbox or Scummvm. If you have the game's discs or an image of them, google "New installers for Sierra Games" and it will install the game for you, no DOSbox commands needed!

well...it was 10 years ago from now when i was 5 years old and played this game.

The worst is this part, part 1, of this game!

I don't know why, but it was pretty scary...

And i didn't understand it all, but i liked it in some way. I think that LBA 2 is OK, but it's gone now :-(

It seems everyone has the same take on the game as I, that being that it was scary as hell. I randomly remembered it for no reason and now I want to play it. -.- I have this lying around somewhere, just can't find it.
