BTBAM - "Obfuscation" Drum Cover

Finally back with another drum cover (blame college :-P). I wanted to really push myself so I tried Between the Buried and Me... man, what a challenge. Blake's amazing. A few notes:

1. This cover isn't perfect. If you want the perfect version, check out "Blake Richardson Recording Obfuscation." I changed a few things to give it my own style (and to not kill myself trying to exactly copy him)
2. I had some trouble synchronizing the audio and video. It's more noticeable in the end. Believe me, I tried fixing it... oh well.

Dude i know blake personally, not too well, but we hangout at shows and he gets me in free when he cans. Man this is a sick cover. I spent an hour trying to figure out the first 30 seconds of this song and failed. I have such a bad ear for drumming. good cover though....what do you suggest in terms of developing a good drumming ear. Ive been playing for almost 10 years and never reallly got a good ear

@drumsallout Thanks man! Really appreciate it. I think the thing that works for me is repetition... just listen to the part you're working on over and over again, really paying attention to just the drums. Tap on your knees if you need to. Some parts are hard to figure out by ear and watching someone play it makes it a lot clearer. Message me if you'd want to talk more about it

@Carthy6 ya got me. I spent several hours 'pretending' to learn the song and then 'pretending' to spend several hours recording it so i could impress people on the internet. Now me making mistakes... that's something else :-P
