"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God."

Romans 3:10-19

  • as a former catholic, i remember one of the nuns in school favorite saying "there is no such thing as a bad boy" I did not believe it then and don't believe it now.

  • @DrStevenz Sproul's teaching here does not come across like the usual Calvinist in his/her pride. The bottom line is we need Christ. Arguing about exactly how each aspect of it works is an academic exercise. Much like Music theory professors arguing about how Bach or Beethoven used certain rules of composition. The bottom line is, their work is valid &independent of how teachers analyze it. They did not have to follow the rules from a classroom, and neither does Christ have to submit to Calvin

  • This is an excellent series of videos. The prideful and self-righteous will of course dispute the teachings of Sproul and Reformed theology but such is life.

  • The teaching was good until he undermines Christ death as insufficient atonement concerning the power of sin.Because the body and mind sin ,it is dead sin .All sin past, present, future is dead and so is the body by which we still sin.Our Nature is,I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ which lives in me,the life I live now I live by the faith of the Son of God.Not the faith of mind naturally or body. The old man is dead .What part of flesh will be glorified?

  • He just said Christ did not die for the nature of sin to be destroyed. This teaching that the atonement is not in full effect is a lie.The body is dead because of sin.The Nature we live by is God's Spirit. And we are told to count the nature that had the power to be no longer our rule ,but is dead Rom 6, 7.The idea that glorification will make perfect is undermining to full victory now. There is NOTHING of the physical brain or body that will be glorified NOTHING!.New minds and bodies await.

  • Do you have the next session that RC mentions at the end?
