Dr. Deepak Chopra describes a cultural tradition in which mothers write a song for their babies and sing the song throughout pregnancy. During the birthing process, the village serenades the baby, and the song is used repeatedly when as child grows and is initiated into the different stages of life. Chopra explains this through a concept called neuro-associated conditioning, in which the nervous system anchors our emotional well-being to the sound and vibration of the song.
