  • I just did this with my L-1500 but I first sanded it with an 80 grit paper because mine was heavily oxidized with deep scratches and it came out excellent!!! Thanks for the tip.

  • interesting - I have a 1962 truck with cracks in it, would this technique work to fill or mold the cracks? They aren't too big, I'd describe them as hairline cracks.

    I know you mention this is an "old restoration trick for hot rods", but will it work for ANY old steering wheel.

    I've got a 1970 land rover and the steering wheel looks similar. But I didn't think "PVC" existed back then. Thanks!
