It's loaded with calories, its meant for a soldier to survive on in the field. They wouldn't starve a soldier.

i thing no one will tell you and i know from the army is that you eat them for a few days out in the field and you quit pooping so you don't really get hungry any more but they don't taste bad there good not like c- rats /C-Rations and one a day is all you need

Its a survival meal. In a survival situation it does great...better than eating bark.

A full day's meal? Don't think so. If I am lugging a pack and burning lots 'o calories, that there will barely be a meal.
