Just reading all the posts I wanted to add that I am a Greek from Egypt (Mansourah) born 1955. My family immigrated to Canada in 1963; i now reside in Florida. Thank you so much Zaloum for posting this as it makes me realize that my childhood memories are shared by people all over the world.

Met a guy in Assiut about 25 years ago. He had a huge collection of Zappa records etc. He also intoduced me to this song which I loved a lot and never since heard.

I have been to Cairo many times I miss it there so much. All the things said by the USA were 100 percent lies as I stayed for 30 days each time. The people of Cairo were the most wonderful people i have met. I will be returning after Ramadan to the most wonderful place in the World. Forver and Always Cairo!

i remember this beautiful song when i was very young.. i remember i had to save my allowance for months in order to buy the 45 record it was on.. i think i still have somewhere.. those were the days when we really loved cairo !!!!
