Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of OUTLAW for the Atari 2600. Do you know your enemy? This amazing shooting game for the VCS allows you to play as a cowboy, sheriff or outlaw blasting your pistol against an emeny of unspeakable evil. It's like a first or third person shooter except more intense. You fight on city streets crowded with wagons and in the Wild West around a cactus. This Spaghetti Western of a video game is like Outlaw Josey Wales meets Halo 3. You gotta play Outlaw because it's an amazing 1970's arcade retro old school vintage collectible cartridge that set the stage for competitive online shooting games today. This game makes Grant Theft Auto IV look like a happy, peaceful walk in the park in GTA4 GTAIV GTA 4. Maybe they will release Outlaw on the Playstation 3 PS3 or Xbox 360 or Wii or Neo Geo or Turbografx-16. High Noon, OUTLAW!

Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. XBLA. Gun game. 1890's

  • twitter sent me

  • i remember that old intro, it was awesome

  • Wasn't this game made by Taito? Or am I thinking of something else?

Anyways, this games looks really fun. I actually wanna play this game with someone else.

  • i played this game for hours everyday when i was kid

  • This was played in the short-lived early 1980s U.S. version of the game show "The Krypton Factor", in which contestants had to shoot a target past a moving stagecoach in an alotted amount of time.

  • As with Combat, Outlaw could be a truly great game as long as you have a worthy human opponent. No AI can match a human adversary, at least, not any AI running on a 2600. The only downside is that, if you have nobody to play against, you are out of luck.

An excellent variation of Outlaw are the ones where you had only six shots that would not reload until your opponent had used all six of their shots. It forced you to make your shots count. Very challenging.

  • Oh sorry didn't realise HE said that fake history.

  • @jamak42 Fail it was out in 1967.

  • I seem to recollect that when you finally kilt a varmint, he'd say GUT ME! Which was a horrific image to put into a young'un's head.

  • Love these reviews!!! Can't believe 5 people voted dislike, this is a classic :D Thanks for all your hard work.
