I wished someone would upload the the parade of states from miss america that year, miss tennessee desiree daniels is also 2nd runner up that year (i think or 83')

miss new mexico, the winner, was also miss new mexico in the 1984 miss america pageant, held september the previous year. she didn't crack the top 10 in that one...vanessa williams was crowned.

Did you notice not one of the contestants congratulated NMwhen she made top 10?

All of the others hugs, kisses etc.

But NM was the only one not to receive any congratulations from other contestants.

Not even in the crowning clip as Bob Barker escorts her up those stairs to her throne.

She had to walk past the girls assembled on the steps and not a single one grabbed her hand or anything.

Was she not well liked by the other girls?
