less bad does not equal better. If it is 110 degrees outside, you would say it is hot. If it is 105 degrees outside, it is not cold, it is less hot.

Intelligent arguments. Many, I really agree with(on war, being accepted by queer community etc). Good to hear these expressed more eloquently than I could manage. But I do not agree with the overall message. As an adolescent, life can be hell for all sorts of reasons. As you age, you generally grow more confident and comfortable with yourself and you have more control over whom you allow in your life. I don't think it is a lie to tell young people that it gets better. It is important to do so.

Yikes. I would say that this guy is depressed, plain and simple. What a shame to be using this forum, which can be used to encourage young people, to try to spread his depressed thinking. All of these rigid rules, and pessimistic predictions! I would say, "shame on you" for using this forum to discourage rather than encourage, but I feel very sorry for this guy.
