Yinka enabled me to do this interview before any major news networks to add to my broadcast tape portfolio. A dear friend who is missed went on to play for the NJ Nets NBA and passed away in January 2004 at age of 32

  • Quite possibly the only time the words "secret weapon" and "basketball machine" were ever used in conjunction with Yinka Dare.

  • incredible, there is almost no video or image of him on the internet, i would love to see a full game where he played

  • @ThomasDollar I don't think he every played a full game, mostly got garbage minutes from what I have seen, which is probably part of why his assist rates are so awful.

  • Hail to the Buff & the Blue! Hail to G W!!!

  • 6:21 "I wish I stay alive and I stay healthy"

    R.I.P

  • @ThomasDollar Then check out my channel (it's also on the right under suggestions) - I got his highlights/lowlights in one particular game vs. the Bulls and another video, where he was starting is coming up.

  • Rest in Peace. I pronounced him Yinka Dare i am surprised at this Zhinka Da-Ray pronunciation.

  • I thought for a long time Yinka Dare was a fictional name, just a nick some uploader/mix maker. I used to pronounce it "Yinka Dair". lol HE'S A REAL GUY !!

  • "hip hop dare. yinka dare."

    beautiful. well said erica.

  • im related to him through marriage !

  • Yinka Dare died of a heart attack in 2004. He was only 31 years old. The medical examiner determined he suffered a heart attack due to an arrhythmia condition discovered when he was in college. Dare wasn't much of a ballplayer, but he seemed like a nice guy. He certainly didn't deserve to die so young.
