Nice splitting, those big rounds can be difficult. Also, when small pieces fall over you can split them lying down, just hit them hard in the middle.

@jeffng1964 A maul is like hitting the wood with a hammer, its exhausting. He needs to get a Fiskars axe and sharpen it until it shaves hairs. Then it would not be bouncing off like that. I've split much bigger rounds than that with my Fiskars.

He's using the wrong tool. He's using a felling axe. He should be using an axe maul! He'll then be using half his strength with an axe maul.
