  • I'm never surprised by Youtube commentary's lack of nuance. A video of a butterfly landing on a turd will end in cursing and trading racial epithets back and forth while succeeding in reducing the world into "left" and "right" doing and thinking. Real brilliant. Go outside and enjoy something without letting yourself get pissed by somebody that probably isn't speaking to or for you in the first place.

  • Wacquant, great dude, chic type. He studies scientifically as well as committed the crimes of neoliberalism, he shows the causes. Thus he upholds the banner of original sociology. It is utterly nauseating what happens to the majority of mankind, esp the workers, the old and unemployed. Say the least.

I hope we will be able to rebel, with all our force.

  • @FrancePhoenix Good lord. If you didn't know he was Bourdieu's student, there would be little in this talk to identify him as such.

  • Loic Wacquant speaks the truth, answers many questions, raising many red flags. His commentary makes one examine the African American plight from another perspective. After reading and listening to his commentary one can conclude African Americans position in the U.S. run parelle to the Jews in Nazi Germany.......

  • @greenanarchyify

And I'm never surprised of Loïc wacquant's lack of skill in the field of sociology.

He is a pure and simple disciple of his dogmatic master Pierre Bourdieu

  • Doing social sciences is doing politics.

  • pure ideology. That jerk is not doing social sciences he's doing politic.

  • @FB1801 Judging from the argument you bring as well as on my experience as a researcher and reader, I strongly disagree. But please, explain your point of view, if you have any.

  • Wacquant is a jerk. He has no arguments. A stupid leftist.

  • I enjoyed taking Prof. Wacquant's class. Very passionate [in person] and you definitely have to have your facts/argument straight before asserting an opinion in his class. Simply rebuffing a half-baked notional of once's desire for wealth redistribution won't do. And, certainly, you'd have to get away from an overly simplistic argument by left and right. Leave that shit for MSNBC and FOX. Think broader than that!
