This game is awesome and epic and the OST is beautiful.
-
You gotta hand it to the Japanese... they make soundtracks that would make Handel weep
-
...wow.. oh wow. this music should win 2 oscars 8 grammys and a nobel peace prize just to sum up how fantastic each and every track is. the reality; just near to a million views on youtube for every song put together. i dont even want to have to contrast that or mention it in relation to the music that gains recognition. magnificent comes close to what im trying to express. this is truely art. and in a video game...

god I love this soundtrack <3
-
Best song i've ever woke up to <3

@Phalanxification Square Enix had some part in it, though.. Yosuke Taito of Square Enix was the producer, and the company founded the project pretty well.
If it wasn't for Square Enix, this game wouldn't have been made.
-
@Phalanxification It's a shame too. Between the first Drakenguard and Nier I can only wonder what other forms of depressing insanity they could've come up with.
In a land littered with "realistic" First Person Shooters and pretty boy heroes droning about friendship we need things like Cavia's unique brand of lunacy.
-
@XxblackrainstudioxX It doesnt follow the persona structure of most games. Also it was a commercial failure in the west and got a majority of rather negative reviews.
It will never get a sequal because it was denied the love that it deserved.
Cheers
-
@XxblackrainstudioxX It did, but at the same time didn't. Mostly because there's no way to make one- Cavia doesn't exist anymore.

@thedragonb0y I actually do this often. I have the Nier OST on my Ipod when I workout. Makes me feel like I'm running for a purpose.
It's Epic and Melancholic at the same time
It's Aggressive and Calming at the same time
It's Personal and Transcendental at the same time
absolutely genius piece of music

By the way, the guys who developed this?
CAVIA.
Square Enix just published it. This was Cavia's last labor of love before it died. Give credit where credit is due, god dammit.
